The elevator is located in the core of the house, immediately adjacent to the stairwell, in order to accommodate a range of ages and/or differing abilities, or just provide an extra hand while unloading groceries. Manufactured by Residential Elevators, the cab has a wood interior, with certified formaldehyde free wood, and low emitting finishes and efficient LED lighting. It is a traction elevator, which operates more efficiently than a hydraulic, and eliminates the use of hazardous hydraulic fluid.
