Watershed Congratulates Jeremy Portillo, Fitwel Ambassador
Jeremy Portillo, AIA, LEED AP, Fitwel Ambassador – Project Architect
Jeremy was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana and currently lives in the outskirts of Fairhope. He spent his childhood building Lego models and taking apart old lawn mowers. In high school his family moved across the country to Northwest Florida where he also gained his Bachelor of Architecture at Florida A&M University. Immediately after college he took his first job in Pensacola, Florida where he met his wife Dana. He and Dana have two young daughters, June and Louisa, and another baby on the way.
Jeremy is a licensed architect whose ten years of experience ranges from high-end residential to boutique commercial, pavilions and entry gates, state, federal and military. He is a LEED AP and the first Fitwel ambassador in the state of Alabama. He is leading Watershed’s BIM integration processes, while spearheading a renewed focus on human health as an essential component of sustainability.
Jeremy’s hobbies include tending to his vegetable garden, working on his cars, playing at the piano with his daughters and designing tiny houses with his wife. In his spare time he volunteers with Prodisee Food Pantry and Habitat for Humanity.
