We are growing, and seek talented, passionate individuals to fill the positions of Architect 1 and Architectural Intern.
Watershed is located in the unique town of Fairhope Alabama, founded as a utopian colony by social reformers in 1906. Our office is a short walk from the eastern shore of Mobile Bay, in the heart of Fairhope’s historic central business district.
We are a small, highly collaborative firm, and work to nurture a positive, healthy office culture. Candidates should be curious, personable, and self motivated. Employees will gain a broad range of experience in sustainable design, detailing, client communication, and project management.
Candidates for the Architectural Intern position should have a professional degree in architecture from an accredited college or university, be enrolled in NCARB’s Architectural Experience Program (AXP), and actively pursuing architectural licensure.
At least one year of work experience is preferred.
Sustainable design accreditation such as LEED AP, SITES AP, WELL AP, or Living Building Professional is also preferred.
Candidates for the Architect 1 position should have a minimum of 5 years experience and be a licensed architect.

While a position may be tailored to match a particular set of skills and experience, our ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
- Architectural modeling, Vectorworks preferred but can train from CAD or Revit
- Architectural design, presentation, and rendering
- Project Management
- Building science, detailing and material selection
- Communication and leadership skills
- Experience in Energy Modeling or Daylight Modeling is welcomed
